How To Photograph Your Palm

A clear palm photograph makes tracing easier and improves the quality of the final reading.

Set up the hand

Open the palm naturally, keep all fingertips visible, include part of the wrist, spread the fingers slightly, and remove rings or objects that cover major lines.

Set up the camera

Use even natural lighting, avoid flash glare and hard shadows, choose a plain contrasting background, and hold the camera directly above the palm.

Recover from a weak photo

If the app asks for a better photo, move slightly farther away, brighten the scene, flatten the angle, or simplify the background.
